AC Shadows Unveils Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the official release, "An unusual meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of banned practices and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The plot presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden group.
The questline centers on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Content
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an special katana alongside numerous objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
